CT on Out of Ireland!

If any of you watch Out of Ireland, you saw Celtic Thunder on over the weekend! If you click the link, you will see that CT is also their feature (and has been for quite some time!). I have been an avid watcher of Out of Ireland because my mother would watch it every week to find out what's been happening "at home". So, as we were watching it tonight (we record the episodes now), I was getting a glass of water and I heard Mull of Kintyre and came running in. It was a joyous moment. Anyone else see it?
Also, congrats to our new President, Obama.

Where in the World is Celtic Thunder?
Happy mischief/gate night! Welcome to the capital of New York, guys! In half an hour, Celtic Thunder will be gracing the Times Union Center with a bring-the-house-down show. Maybe there will be some pranks pulled?
The CTG who usually does this has a busy weekend, and won't update this until monday.
so..
Friday, as I said, the guys have off. Happy Halloween to all!
Saturday, they are at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ (my mom is going!!!)
And Sunday they will be at the Nassau Veterens Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY (random note: where I saw the Jonas Brothers once upon a time!)
Hope everyone has a safe Halloween!

Thanks to the 41 people who voted on this poll. It may not seem like that much, but it is to two random girls who didn't expect more than 5!!
So, the results of "Favorite Damian McGinty song" are.... *unneeded drum roll*
Bird Without Wings comes in first place, Young Love comes second, Puppy Love third and Come by the Hills in last.
Thanks again to all who voted and be sure to vote on our new poll!

Where in the World is Celtic Thunder?
Tonight, our fab 5 can be found in Boston, MA at the Dunkin Donuts Center! Since she cannot think of anything to write about Boston, she will say that she went to Dunkin Donuts today and is reading the Crucible for school (which takes place IN Massachusetts). Vair, vair coincidental and unnecessary (:
If only she had gone to Boston Market....

We have 30-something votes on our latest poll, so we expect at least one suggestion!
Thanks guys!

Halloween Fun!
As you may know, Halloween originated in Ireland! Celtic Thunder has the day off! Anyway, the CTGs would love to know how you all celebrate Halloween!!
"On Halloween night in present-day Ireland, adults and children dress up as creatures from the underworld (e.g., ghosts, ghouls, zombies, witches and goblins), light bonfires, and enjoy spectacular fireworks displays – in particular, the city of Derry is home to the largest organized Halloween celebration on the island, in the form of a street carnival and fireworks display." (wikipedia.org)
See that, folks? Derry. That's where Keith and Damian are from (:
If anyone has any pics of cool celtic pumpkins they carved, or anything celtic and Halloween related, send them to celtic.thunder.girls@gmail.com! Don't forget to say whether you want them posted here or not!
Fun stories are also welcome!

Where in the World is Celtic Thunder?
Apologies for the lateness of everything! Stress galore for the CTGs :/ We'll get more interesting stuff as soon as we can!
Anyway, the concert is probably over, but CT was in Boston, MA at the Agganis Arena. Tomorrow, they get a day off as they travel to Albany, NY.

Tonight, the lads may be found in Toronto, Ontario at the Theatre at Air Canada Centre. Who knew they had a Canadian fan base as well? We're not too surprised though: who couldn't love them? We wish them luck and plenty of Canadian bacon!

Paul's Solo Albums!!
Are you a fan of Paul's creamy caramel voice? We sure are, which is why we were thrilled to learn that he has a Christmas album out!! It is entitled "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and can be found here: (It says on the site that it is out of stock, but more have been ordered and this will show up on the site soon). His voice is absolutely perfect for such beautiful seasonal tunes as "Silent Night" and "Let It Snow". We know we certainly want him crooning to us as we trim our trees in a month or two!
If you're not much of a Christmas person, however, you can also check out his solo album "Velvet", which can be bought here: http://cdbaby.com/cd/paulbyrom. Classic songs such as "Unforgettable" and "Cheek to Cheek" are given a new flavour by this talented lad.
He has samples of the songs on his MySpace, link down below.
So what are you waiting for? Go check them out!

Want to learn Gaelic?
Have you been inspired by listening to "Come By The Hills" a million times? Have you been dying to find out what the guys are saying in "Heartland"? Maybe you just have nothing better to do. Whether you want to learn basic, conversational, or be completely fluent, we have some ways for you to learn Gaelic!
First, decide which form you want to learn. If you have ancestors or relatives in Ireland, find out what county they are from. Here's a map with the counties separated by dialect.
If you don't feel like dialects, or you don't have relatives in Ireland, there is a site with basic phrases.
These are just some tips. If you want, you can go further into the world of the Gaelic language. I saw some great computer programs and audio CDs available to buy!
Slán agus beannacht leat.
That's Gaelic for "Goodbye and blessings on you."
